Coppenrath – Die Spiegelburg
Young, creative and extraordinary
Coppenrath Verlag, founded in 1768, was taken over in 1977 by the young graphic designer and publisher Wolfgang Hölker. Today, he manages the Münster-based family business with over 180 employees together with his daughter Johanna Hölker and managing director Dr. Lambert Scheer.
An old granary from 1896 and the Old Fire Station, built in 1928, reflect the spirit of the publishing house: unusually different and full of surprises. Today children‘s book characters like „Felix the Bunny“, „Princess Lillifee“ and „Captain Sharky“ are known all over the world. In the 1990s the publishing house established the merchandising/non-book section “Die Spiegelburg”, which since then has created a playful connection with the book program. The picture book heroes appear as plush toys, on games, on school supplies and on many other products.
The publishing house also focuses on books for the youngest, creativity books, young adult books, albums, advent calendars, stationery and gift books. The stationery collections come along with comprehensive themed worlds in trendy designs, such as the design series „All about …“ in particular.
„Coming together is the beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.“ (Henry Ford)
