Every year in December the well-known Pantone Color Institute chooses the trend color of the coming year. For 2022 you can look forward to lots of lilacs or VERY PERI.

Where does this name, which admittedly takes some getting used to, come from?
According to its namesake, it derives from the English “Periwinkle”, the flower color which can be described as a pale shade of purple or pastel violet – lilac!
