The 145 galleries of the museum house some of the best examples of decorative art from textiles and ceramic to sculptures and photography. Founded in London in 1852 during the reign of Queen Victoria to make works of art available to all, it is now a place for inspiration, discovering and learning through its mission of enriching people’s lives with design.
